ABOUT RAFAELA
Rafaela city is well known for its wide and qualified productive supply mainly composed by the dairy, cold store, and metalmechanic industries, among some others. This development area, integrated approximately by 400 diversified companies, has big opportunities to develop some new international markets and to achieve new and better competitive advantages.
The creation of a virtual community, that vitalizes the business based on TIC, is aiming at promoting and developing activities oriented towards the international market and the improvement of social and economical development of Rafaela, in Santa Fe province. The plan is based on three basic premises: Adaptation, Training and Participation. The project purports to bring support to create international relationships and to manage the collocation of tradable products from the region as well as to sustain and update the circuit of exportation.

The virtual community will also provide enterprises, which are currently exchanging products and wish to improve their competitiveness, with full access to vital information. Moreover, the virtual community will also provide a continuous training programmer with state-of-the-art information technologies and skills in international trade for those companies which have a lack of information. Indeed, that will act as the motivator for the improvement of business in the region.

The use of Web Technologies in the project implies the development of a Virtual Community for Commercial Promotion which is supported by an international traders' site, with many solutions for the productive system and other Internet users, which foments the dialog and the possibility of sharing related experiences and different practices.

Each service from the Site will be focused on providing information to external users (exchange companies, potential exporters, researchers), to internal users (executives and employees from participant institutions) and importer users from foreigner countries.
